Trailer Reviews, Week 5

We moved! You can now find us at our own location, MovieBoozer.com | Movies Measured by the Pint! Movies Rated by Beers! We also have a new forum!

I Am Number Four

We’ve seen a slew of these teeny-bop superpowers flicks in the last few years, running the gamut from the just awful Jumper (Hayden Christiansen) to the pretty tolerable Push (Not Hayden Christiansen). I’ve liked director D.J. Caruso’s last few more than most (Disturbia and Eagle Eye) and the trailer promises a little visual flair.

Meet Shiva, Destroyer of Franchises

Beer Prediction

This one doesn’t have Hayden Christiansen. However, the hero does resemble him a bit. So I am torn.

Unknown

Hmmm, Liam Neeson goes to Europe and commences to tear shit up. Sound familiar, anyone?

Just stop fucking with his family already

It might not be fair to make Taken comparisons, but apparently that is what the makers of this trailer want you to do. Mad Men temptress January Jones and always appreciated Diane Kruger should at least make this one good to look at.

Beer Prediction

However, judging from the *yawn* trailer and the feeling of déjà vu it gives you, it’s hard to forecast anything but mediocre.

Big Momma’s House: Like Father, Like Son

Wow, this one’s not hard at all. Instead of wasting any time ridiculing this one, I’ll just show you a still from the film.

Yeah.

Beer Prediction

This one will shave a point off the national I.Q. and make a ton of money doing it. Don’t give it yours.
