This film I've been looking forward to for awhile. It is about time Hollywood takes another stab at a big budget movie about ancient Rome. One with a really interesting historical background. (To the Roman Centurion, the Eagle Standard was a religious symbol, and to lose it equivalent to a blasphemy)
My prediction: since the trailer indicates a strong focus on action, I predict a style over substance disappointment, but still a watchable one. Lets hope they don't try to rehash The 300
Because honestly... do we need to see more of this?

So what is it that makes Justin Bieber's rise to fame so amazing? Good fucking question. His music, his image, and his personality, all appear to have been vetted thoroughly by Disnified business executives. I expect nothing less from this film.

If this trailer is any indication, Adam Sandler's career has officially become stuck in a rut. Nothing here shows any promise of the film being either charmingly romantic or sardonically funny, despite how much it may want to.
Is it the destiny of every Saturday Night Live alumnus (Besides Bill Murray) with an initially successful film career to put creativity on the back-burner in favor of middlebrow snoozers? Lets hope not.

Gnomeo and Juliet
So, we have Garden Gnomes, and we have Shakespeare, mixed with pop culture references that were clearly left out of the last Shrek film?
Lets hope the writers took the premise of the film further than the stupid pun evident in its title.
